The first project I’ve finished in Cameroon is a hammock for some well deserved equatorial relaxation. I bought a sheet of strong nylon fabric in Yaounde along with some rope and voila, with a quick visit to my local tailor I had a hammock. I just had them double up the ends and sew it shut with their sewing machine. This is the best way to unwind after a hard day at school, I’ve already completed a few books lounging in it. Its a hit with the kids too, all the children around me love to play with the “balançoire” (swing).
