Over the years I have written several templates for configuring Cisco networking equipment. These templates are extremely valuable as they act as a baseline for setting up new equipment at any site.
Standardized baseline configurations ensure consistency in your environment, cut down on configuration time, and are the basis for a fully automated configuration management process.
I’ve sanitized some configurations to serve as examples for others. These configurations show solutions to common problems while implementing basic security hardening techniques and including useful comments so they are easy to follow.
Example configurations show establishing a GRE tunnel, IPSEC tunnel, a GRE over IPSEC configuration, and a Layer 3 Switch configuration.
